ATS Production Rates

There are three options in ATS to specify loading equipment production rates:

LocationTypeMethodApplication
Haul Infinity > Setup > Parameters > CalculationsCalculatedProductivity = Truck Payload / (Spot Time + Swing Times)Set swing times for a Loader X filling Truck Y with Material Z.
Haul Infinity > Setup > Parameters > OverridesOverrideProductivity = Truck Payload / (Historical Load Time) Set flat production rate for Loader X filling Truck Y with Material Z.
ATS > Setup > Loaders > Loader as Agent > Enforce Matched RatesEnforcedProductivity = Calendar Production RateSet flat production rate for Loader X with Material Z at Time T.

Order of Application

If the user has not set up Enforced Matched Rates, then productivity defaults to Overrides. If there are no Overrides, the productivity defaults to Calculations.

Recommended Method

The Overrides method provides a good mix of flexibility and practicality. It can specify different loading rates by material (which Enforced cannot do) and can accept historical loading times from the Fleet Management System (which Calculations cannot do).

For most users, Override inputs may be defined as follows:

  • Loader Load Time = Historical Load Time + Spot Time
  • Truck Load Time = Historical Load Time
  • Truck Payload = Payload (Ore,Waste)

If you are targeting a specific production rate, use:

  • Loader Load Time = Truck Payload / Production Rate
  • Truck Load Time = Loader Load Time - Spot Time
  • Truck Payload = Payload (Ore,Waste)

Equipment Modifier Scripts

In the Calculations and Overrides you can script changes to payloads and cycle times around voids, bores, batter trims, etc.

In the Enforced method, you may only script changes to the Calendar Production Rate; because the original loader rate is not accessible.
