Alastri is pleased to announce the release of v22.2. This is a major release with new Gantt reporting functionality, improved resmodel generation times, and internationalisation of the entire suite.
If you cannot see version 22.2 in the Hub, please contact one of your company’s license administrators and ask them to change the organisation’s permissions via the licensing website. |
Some very minor scripting changes may be required to update to 22.2, depending on the project setup. Please contact the support desk if you encounter any problems with scripts. |
All products, including the Hub, have been internationalised. The language of the UI can be changed at any time by clicking the flag icon in the upper right of the application. While English and Russian are the only actual languages supported at the moment, other languages will be supported in the future, including Spanish and French.
The time to create resmodels has been reduced by 25%-65%, depending on the data, block model format, and mapping configuration.
Block Model | Format | 22.1 Generation Time (s) | 22.2 Generation Time (s) | Improvement |

A new type of Gantt report can now be created on the Reporting tab of ATS and APS. These Gantt reports are fully customisable and are designed to be printed. See “TS/PS Gantt Report” pages in ATS and APS documentation for more information on creating and configuring these reports. With the release of this new function, the Tasks tab in APS has been made redundant and removed from the Schedule tab. If required, the Tasks tab can be added back in by enabling the ‘Display Old Task Tab’ in the Final Configuration step.
The functionality to create plots in RR and period plots in APS and ATS has been moved into the Reports tab for each product. The Plot tab in RR, Period Plot tab in ATS, and Period Plot tab in APS is therefore no longer present. In addition, several new configuration options have been added, including the ability only to show benches that have been scheduled and the ability to view the benches in a list form rather than a tree form.
The Layers panel across all products now has a function that allows the creation of layer sets, which controls the visibility of a subset of layers. These layer subsets can be used in the viewpoints function of ATS and APS, allowing users to take several screenshots simultaneously where each screenshot may have different layers set to visible. Layer sets can be configured by selecting ‘Configure Layer Display Settings’ from the drop-down menu shown within the layer sets button, which is located below the layers panel toolbar.
A new window is available in all applications to show any outputs from calls to Console.WriteLine. The window can be accessed by navigating to Help > Console, and will display any outputs called from the scripts or any scripted shading or label.
A search bar has been added to Pivot reports to allow users to easily access the fields they require.
It is now possible to delete multiple reports at once from the Reporting tab in APS, ATS, and RR by selecting multiple reports and pressing the delete button. Previously it was only possible to delete the focused report.
All code editors now support the latest C# 8.0 features.
The various steps requiring names that match Haul Infinity now have buttons that will add any items in Haul Infinity that are missing in ATS. The steps with this button are:
Waste Dumps
Stockpiles
Crushers
Truck Types
Loader Types
It is now possible to change the color of Agents so they can be easily distinguished on the Animation viewport.
It is now possible to populate several Site List items directly from Haul Infinity, reducing manual entry when the Haulage Network was set up before the scheduling model. This can be achieved by selecting the "Populate from Haul Infinity" button located directly above the Site List items. Once selected, a message box, shown in the image below, will be displayed outlining three different import options.
It is now possible to create custom report fields that will appear in the list of available fields of conventional APS reports. An example of a custom field would be truck EFH (Effective Flat Haul). Out of the box, this is not reported as there is no standard for calculating EFH; however, all the inputs required for calculating the value are available. Using a custom field, we can calculate the EFH value and add it as an available report field. Scripts are needed to generate these custom fields, so if required, please contact the support desk.
A new option has been introduced within the automatic dig line creation tool, allowing neighbouring blasts to be considered when generating dig lines. This new option is located in the 'Tool Settings' group box of the Generate Dig Lines dialog. If this setting is disabled, the dig line creator will treat each blast separately. The resultant output with the settings disabled and enabled can be seen below.
The Bulk Block Rename tool has introduced a new "Bearing" column. This new column defines the direction in which blasts will be renamed. This can be seen in the example below, where a bearing of 120 degrees has been applied. Please note that the arrow shown is for illustration purposes only; no directional indicator will be displayed on the screen.
Three new Custom Variable helper formulas have been introduced, which help deal with situations where multiple blockmodels contain different field names. An example of how these can be used is shown below, where the gold grade field differs between block models.
A new option has been introduced within the Phase Details step, enabling depleted phase solids to be exported. Several surface export formats are available when exporting single phases, and a Zip file is used if multiple phases are selected using the default 00t format to export.
A new extension has been added, allowing manual joins to be retained when the 'Assign Joins Based on Segment Names' is run. The new option can be found in the 'Extension' toolbar menu. This option is also available in APS in the Final Configuration step.
